Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-02-11

This policy explains how MathSatChallenge (MSC) and msc.almanahj.com handle data when you use the service. By using the app or website, you agree to this policy.

1) What data do we collect?

We collect only what is needed to run the competition, improve the experience, and prevent abuse. This may include:

  • Account data: email, name (if available), sign-in provider (Apple/Google), and provider user ID.
  • Competition usage data: current level, points, answer results, attempt timestamps, and progress history.
  • App settings: language (Arabic/English) and display preferences.
  • Basic technical data: device/OS type and high-level crash diagnostics when needed.

2) How do we use this data?

  • Operate your account and display your profile.
  • Save progress, points, and leaderboards.
  • Detect cheating, automation, and abusive traffic.
  • Improve question quality, stability, and overall experience.
  • Provide customer support and handle inquiries.

3) Tokens & on-device storage

A login token may be stored on your device to keep you signed in. It is stored locally (e.g., iOS Keychain). You are responsible for securing your device. When you sign out, the token is deleted locally.

4) Data sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. Limited data may be shared only when necessary:

  • Sign-in providers: Apple/Google to complete authentication.
  • Hosting/security providers: to run and protect our servers (e.g., against attacks and abnormal requests).

We do not share your answers or progress except as needed to operate the service.

5) Children

MSC is an educational app. If the user is a minor, parental consent and supervision are required. We recommend not submitting any extra personal information beyond what is required for sign-in.

6) Data retention

We retain data as long as needed to operate accounts and the competition, or to meet legal and security requirements. We may retain limited technical logs for a short period for security and fraud prevention.

7) Your rights

  • Request access to your basic account data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information (e.g., name if stored).
  • Request account/data deletion where feasible and subject to legal requirements.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards (such as encrypted connections and access controls). However, no method is 100% secure.

9) Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

10) Contact

For privacy-related questions, use the official contact options available in the app or on the website.
